Tenant’s evidence: “On the 8 April 2020 the tenant woke up to a knock on the door. He had a friend staying for security as his co-tenant did not always stay there at night because of all the stress. The landlord asked him to go the kitchen so they could discuss matters and work things out. His friend was sitting on the floor and the security men pulled him out of the room and barred the tenant from accessing the room. The tenant stated that the security men were drilling the door. All his belongings were moved onto the street outside… He booked into a hotel for 3 nights and both he and his co tenant are now in homeless accommodation and have been ever since... The tenant stated that it was the most awful experience with continuous harassment racial remarks abuse from security men breaking of his window drilling holes in his door and he has suffered from stress and anxiety. He has lost earnings due to his inability to complete work due to his stress levels”.
